4th of July weekend

Our 4th of July weekend was a busy, tiring, fun filled, weekend with good times slightly trumping emotional meltdowns.  We made the trek to Michigan for the weekend to hit the Vandersteen reunion, visit Fig, Rebecca and kids, and spend time with Oma, Opa, Michelle and AJ again.  It was a great trip, good to reconnect with everyone, and real good to be back to home sweet home again.  And the kids were ready to be done with all the travelling.

Multi-tasking priorities

On the last day, Hannah warmed up to Oma! Everyone else was still to scary...

And for some shenanigans back at home...

Yes, the cave men had the right idea

Cousin Weekend!

Kailey and Hannah were able to get to know each other well while we waited for Grandma Betty, Grandma Char, and Noah to return from garage sales (Ok, I went earlier while Grandma Betty watch my two kids!)  Hannah is doing so much better as long as people know how to approach her!

Snuggles with Grandpa Craig before we take off for a BIG DAY!

Hannah's Birthday and other things

So having been reminded (many times) that I have neglected to update the blog for far too long, here's a quick catchup post.  In the last several weeks Hannah celebrated her first birthday and took her first steps, Noah has continued to work on his numbers and letters, we've done a day trip to Lincoln to witness the marriage of Aunt Michelle and Uncle AJ (in which Noah was the non-ring-bearing ring bearer), along with lots of bike rides to parks, zoo trips, mulberry picking, gardening, etc.
